Our Client recently engaged with GP Strategies to extend the support we already provide in the America’s to support customer and product training teams in Europe for a number of business sectors including:
- Civil large engines
- Civil small and medium engines
- Naval marine (gas turbines)
- Controls and data services
Additional capacity and capability is provided which includes:
- Provision of trainers against a monthly plan/at short notice
- Product training design/delivery
- Online learning design and development
- Vendor/supply chain management
- Continuous/improvement initiatives
Appropriate use of technology is key to controlling costs/expenditure. To supply the required services we created a customer facing learning/ development team which included an Account Director, Programmes Manager, Account Manager, Senior Instructional Systems Designer, Senior Project Manager, Project Co-ordinator and Vendor Co-ordinator.
Through a blend of account, relationship and project management, collaborative relationships have been forged across both organisations which has resulted in open dialogue and the exchange of ideas to facilitate and fulfil learning needs.
Facilitator resource has been deployed to deliver training in the UK/overseas for a number of engine types on general familiarisation, strip inspect/rebuild, mechanical engine control unit differences and magnetic chip detection and analysis.
E-learning projects have been completed using a range of technologies and complexities (more in the pipeline) with some being a “channel shift” and others newly created with the collaboration of client subject matter experts and engineers.
